LOGO DESIGN
One of the best parts of the design process is the visual brainstorming before I begin. I have backlogs of inspiration in every corner of the internet - screenshots on my phone, saved photos on Instagram, pictures I've snapped of signs in the wild or pages in magazines, my notes app, the list never ends. Including that in my initial meetings or emails with a client helps us both get a sense of the right aesthetic and means we will take the best first step together. After that, I come up with something completely new and original based on their feedback and away we go.
VIRGINIA LARSON CLASSICS
Larson, a talented portraiture and silhouette artist called on me to design a logo for her. Her look is classic and beautiful, but she is still young and vibrant. Wanting to capture both of those worlds, I aimed for timelessness while still keeping the logo fresh and modern. Below you'll see my initial ideas, a first pass, and the final logo.

FIRST PASS LOGO STYLES
FINAL LOGO | After a few rounds of tweaking, we settled on the artist's favorite navy color and a very sophisticated but modern logo featuring the silhouette of her nephew.
